Terms of Trade

1. Definitions
●    "Company" refers to Perth Knife Sharpening Co.
●    "Customer" refers to any individual or entity that purchases goods or services from the Company.
●    "Goods" means knives, scissors, and related tools to be sharpened, repaired, or serviced.
●    "Services" refers to the sharpening, repair, and maintenance services provided by the Company.

2. Services
The Company offers professional sharpening for knives, scissors, and garden tools via mobile, drop-off (Drop N Dash Duncraig), or postal services.

All Services are carried out with the utmost care, using water-cooled machines to preserve blade temper and factory angles.


3. Prices and Payment
●    Current pricing is listed on the Company’s website at perthknifesharpening.com.au.
●    Prices are subject to change based on market conditions and operational costs.
●    Payment is due upon completion of the Services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
●    Accepted payment methods include credit card, cash, and bank transfer.
●    A minimum call-out fee of $90 applies for mobile sharpening services.

4. Delivery and Completion
●   The Company will use reasonable efforts to complete Services within the timeframe provided.
●    Customers will be notified of any delays.
●    For Drop ‘N Dash and postal services, customers are responsible for ensuring items are safely packed for postage and handling.

5. Warranty and Liability
●    A 5-day warranty applies to all sharpening services. If you believe there is an issue with the Service, please notify the Company within this period.
●    The Company is not liable for loss, damage, or injury resulting from misuse, improper cleaning, or external factors.
●    Liability is limited to the value of the Services performed unless caused by the Company’s negligence.


6. Cancellation and Rebooking Fees
●    Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a $45 rebooking fee.
●    No-shows or late reschedules also attract the $45 rebooking fee.

7. Non-Refundable Deposit (Drop-Off Bookings When Not Home)
●   When items are to be left out for collection at unattended premises, a non-refundable $90 deposit (plus credit card fee) must be paid by 3pm the day before service.
●   If items are not left out, the deposit is forfeited unless a new booking is made, and the $45 rebooking fee also applies.

8. Our Guarantee
●   If you’re unhappy with the result, we guarantee to return and rework the item at no extra charge.
●   We must be contacted within 5 days of service.
●    If it is determined that the fault is due to misuse (e.g., blade chipped, broken tip, damage to edge due to knife used for anything else other than food preparation, rusted, washed in dishwasher), the minimum $90 call-out fee applies for correction.


9. Privacy
●    Customer data is handled with care. Personal information is used solely for booking, communication, and service delivery.
●   We will not share your information with third parties unless required by law.

10. Dispute Resolution
●    Customers are encouraged to contact the Company directly for any disputes or complaints.
●    If unresolved, disputes may be referred to mediation or arbitration in accordance with Western Australian law.

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the relevant WA courts.


12. Amendments
The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be made available via the website and apply to future services.
